Hilary and Haylie Duff saved their producers a fortune on the set of their new film Material Girls - by insisting on sharing a trailer.


Hilary and Haylie refused to 'live' in separate trailers on the set and asked to be paired up with their pet dogs.


The plan worked until Hilary and Haylie added a cardboard dog kennel.


Hilary Duff said:

We had some big thing delivered in a big cardboard box, so one day we were bored and we cut it up into a dog house and we painted pictures all over it.



So we had this random cardboard box as a dog house, but the dogs never used it.




Haylie Duff added:

It just kind of took up a lot of room.
