Bad news for Material Girls

Material Girls will be shown at an estimated 1500 theaters when it opens on Friday, August 18. Most major movies open at 2500-3000 theaters.

The low theater is more bad news for Material Girls' Fierce competition from other movies, low theater count, lack of promotion, and Hilary Duff's recent poor track record at the box office are all signals that lead me to believe that Material Girls won't make very much money at the box office.
